D-Day, Revisited

On this date, the Allied forces launched the greatest amphibious assault known to man. They came by sea and by air and struck the Axis forces entrenched on the beaches of France.

Though it was a gristly battle, the Allied troops got a foothold in Europe and would ride into Berlin a short time later.

Liberty. Freedom. Sacrifice.

All three go together. Thank a World War II vet today. Without them, there would be no America.
