Why Take Dems' Rhetoric Seriously?

I love rhetoric, but dems have been pounding the "over-the-top" button an awful lot lately.

Enter Charles Rangel.

Definitely not a stranger to outlandish comments, Rangel might have outdone himself when he spoke with WWRL Radio's Steve Malzberg and Karen Hunter. He told them that Bush's reasoning for going to war in Iraq was as bad as the Holocaust.

Hat tip to NewsMax:
"It's the biggest fraud ever committed on the people of this country. This is just as bad as six million Jews being killed. The whole world knew it and they were quiet about it, because it wasn't their ox that was being gored."

What a wacko. His lust for power is so great that he seeks to diminish one of the world's tragedies in a sad attempt to ruin a political opponent.

The WMD charge (based on evidence from around the world) was only one part of the justification for war. The US freed 50 million oppressed people. Hitler killed 4-6 million Jews out of hatred.

The only true comparison is that Bush is like FDR - sending our brave men and women to kick the butt of a ruthless dictator. Of course, it would kill Rangel to admit that.

You know, I was standing in line at the ATM the other day and someone cut in front of the line. What this person did was worse than the Holocost AND 9/11 in toto! Ummm, no. I can't do it. It just doesnt feel right. Perhaps I need to be a Democrat for it not to feel slimy.
